Sedation Dentistry Seminar - Sept 13, 6 to 7pm

High-Fear Dental Patients No Longer Need to Be Afraid

Are you like the more than ninety million people in the U.S. that have been putting off going to the dentist because of high dental phobia? Are you ashamed of how your mouth looks but are too fearful to fix the problem(s)? Maybe life’s just gotten in the way and now your tooth (or teeth) really hurt! Not to worry, Oak Park Dental can help you address all of your dental problems!

Over one million people have conquered dental fears with a safe and effective treatment called Oral Sedation Dentistry. It’s not just a trend. It’s a new level of dental care.

Dr. Brody Miller has completed a comprehensive and rigorous training program in sedation dentistry through the DOCS Education (Dental Organziation for Conscious Sedation). Dr. Miller is proud to offer the service and says, “We’re honored to have the opportunity to help the people in our community with this beneficial treatment. Patients no longer have to be afraid of the dentist.”

Sedation dentistry not only creates a relaxing and anxiety-free experience for you, it also allows Dr. Miller to accomplish more dentistry in a single visit—meaning you have to return fewer times (if any) to complete your treatment.

Dr. Miller is trained and experienced in all fields of dentistry which means he may be able to complete all dental work necessary in the office resulting in fewer referrals and even fewer appointments. Types of treatment include, but are not limited to, Root Canal Therapy, Crown and Bridge work, Extractions, Bone Grafting, and Implants.

Whether you require a single filling or are looking to have your entire smile restored, sedation dentistry can help you achieve optimum dental health in the most comfortable way possible.

Sedation Process

The process for patients is simple. After a careful review of their medical history, Dr. Miller will choose the appropriate medication(s) and level of sedation to best meet the patient’s needs. Driven to their appointment by a companion, the patient take a single pill before arriving at the office on the day of their treatment. More medication will be given depending on the sedation protocol and the type of procedures being performed and the duration of the appointment. Due to the amnesic properties of many of the medications, patients have little-to-no memory of their time in the dental chair by the next day.
